In short, a Texas notary is a public officer appointed by the Texas Secretary of State to serve the public as an impartial witness to signing of documents. Having a document notarized by a Texas notary protects the integrity of the transaction. For example, properly notarized documents can bind individuals to an agreement indefinitely, make reliable a last testament for an estate worth millions of dollars, settle ownership disputes of real property, or protect individuals from fraudulent transactions. Texas Notaries have five main areas of service: 1. Taking acknowledgments or proofs of written instruments 2. Administering oaths and affirmations 3. Taking depositions 4. Certifying copies of documents not recordable in the public records 5. Protesting instruments We DO offer discounts for repeat customers, Central Texas Rotarians, military veterans and first responders, educators and healthcare workers.

You should seek an attorney for such matters. We do not draft documents, carry a supply of "spare documents", and we do not edit documents on your behalf. We do not perform any service unless you are able to provide acceptable identification either by valid governmental identification or other methods allowable by the State of Texas. We do not discriminate on the basis of sex, creed, gender, marital status, socioeconomic status, orientation, or race. All are welcome to utilize our services. We do not accept deferred payments. Payment for services is due and payable at the time of execution. We do not provide services for any matter in which we have any interest - business, personal, financial or otherwise. We do not charge additional fees for being nice, prompt, affordable and accurate!
No hidden fees. Our fees are transparent and straightforward. For your convenience we prefer payment by Venmo, but also accept PayPal, CashApp, Zelle, and all major credit cards. Sorry, but no personal checks or cash can be accepted by our team members. Texas law sets the maximum fees that notaries may charge for their basic notarial services. Trip Charges, after-hours/weekends/holiday surcharge, and rush fees may also apply. BASIC SERVICE FEES: • Taking acknowledgments or proofs for the first signature $10.00 for each additional signature (same doc) $1.00 • Jurats, incl. administering oath or affirmation $10.00 • Swearing a witness for a deposition $10.00 • Taking a deposition of a witness $10.00 for cert and oath, (for each 100 words) $1.00 • Certifying a photocopy $10.00 • Certified Copies of Notarial Records $1.00 per page • Protests $4 each bill or note, $1 per notice served, $4 for cert and seal • All other Notarial Acts: $10.00 Revised Texas statutory rates - 9/1/23 SIGNING SERVICES: per agreement ADDITIONAL SERVICES: • Trip Charge: $1/mile RT (min: $25) • After-hours/Weekend/Holiday surcharge: $25 - after 7pm or before 10am weekdays $50 - weekend (Sat/Sun) $100 - holiday (10am-7pm) • Rush Fee: $75 within 3 hours of booking Miscellaneous: Document Generation: $0.25pp No-show fee or 30+minute late: $50 Invalid Identification: $50 We offer discounts for repeat customers, Central Texas Rotarians, military veterans and first responders, educators and healthcare workers.
